2016 Resolutions

It’s a new year, and with it comes the somewhat, obligation, to make positive changes to our life. Although, everyone is guilty of leaving a few, (or all) resolutions incomplete, by affirming them, at the beginning of the year, gives a sense of starting the year off on the right foot.

Every year, January, is the month of change. It’s the time when people strive to loose the holiday pounds, and clean their closets. I too have partaken in these tasks, and while doing so, I’ve created a unique list of 2016 resolutions to tackle this year.

  1. Stretch daily-I’ve had a fancy yoga mat sitting in my room, collecting dust, time to put it to good, healthy, use!
  2. Drink more water-Water is essential to your health. Many of us, I included, don’t drink enough water. You need to drink at least 64 oz daily. That’s 4, 16oz water bottles! Here’s some tricks to drinking more water, http://divasrunforbling.com/drink-more-water/
  3. Say YES!-As a college student, I’ve found myself saying no to a lot of things. Like studying with friends at a cafe, or going out for lunch, or going to see a movie. With so much studying, by the end of the day, all I want to do is SLEEP. But, it’s also healthy to be social, and make new friends. Interacting with others, creates new experiences and helps one hone useful communication, and problem solving skills. So, say NO to drugs, but say yes to adventures!
  4. Be positive-Having a positive mindset is something I really believe makes life happier. Dwelling on the past, in a negative sense, and regretting descions you’ve made, only bog down your self image. Being positive, lifts your spirit, as well as the spirit of your peers! You’ll most likely be successful if you take on a challenge with a positive mindset.

Let’s crack the whip on 2016 and make it a year of memories and adventures!
